The Blind Pig - Ann Arbor, MI
This mural was a collaborative commission between the Ann Arbor Art Center and The Blind Pig. Installed on the exterior wall of The Blind Pig, it frames the entrance to their basement dive bar, the 8 Ball Saloon.
Created at the onset of the COVID-19 lockdown, the mural was designed to capture the sense of social connection and shared energy we were all missing. I illustrated a lively scene featuring a crew of dokkaebi goblins—mischievous figures from Korean folklore—drinking, laughing, and playing pool. To honor The Blind Pig’s legacy as a nationally recognized music venue, I incorporated speakers into the background. Traditional Korean folk art elements like the tiger and magpie were also included as symbolic nods to cultural heritage.
